I took up running as an absolute novice at the age of 30 in 2013 following the birth of my first child. In spite of being built more for comfort than speed, I loved it, so I decided I’d use it to try to raise money for charities.
I’ve done the Great North Run in 2014, 2015 and 2016, and this year I fancied a bit more of a challenge (most likely a last hurrah for my knackered old knees). As such, I’m taking on numerous running events in 2017 in the name of Bloodwise, a charity in aid of a cause close to my family’s hearts.
